About UsWe are a 501(c)3 non-profit Bully Rescue in Northwest Arkansas that is comprised of a team of volunteer and foster homes working to rescue bully breeds. We do not have a facility to house our rescues so we rely on foster homes. We do hope to open a facility in the near future but need your support.
Our Mission is to rescue and find only the best homes for bullies in need here in Northwest Arkansas, help change the perception of misunderstood breeds and help promote responsible bully ownership. |
Meet Our Founder/President
Cheryl Gibson and Ophelia
After finishing the book The Lost Dogs, about Michael Vick in December 2010 it weighed heavy on my heart and something told me I needed to do something although I had no idea what that meant. I started a facebook page PitBull Ambassador of Northwest Arkansas now known as NWA Bully Haven Rescue and adopted Ophelia with the intent of getting her therapy certified, which didn't happen. Once the community realized there was a bully lover it blew up into a rescue. We applied for our non profit status in 2014 and changed the name of the rescue to NWA Bully Haven Rescue in 2018 to expand the breeds we rescue to all bully breeds not just pit bulls. Rescuing is my passion. My absolute favorite thing is watching my rescues thrive and be loved in their forever homes. Cheryl Gibson |
